Shortlist, a product of Reckn LLC
Terms of Service
Last updated October 11, 2026. These terms describe access to the Shortlist hiring service. They are not legal advice and have not been represented as attorney-reviewed.
The service
Shortlist is a product of Reckn LLC. It helps restaurants create job listings, receive applications, review employer-defined screening answers, and manage hiring communications. Features may change or be unavailable, including integrations that remain disabled.
Accounts and restaurant responsibilities
Restaurant users must provide accurate account and organization information, protect their sign-in credentials, and use only locations and applicant information they are authorized to manage. The restaurant is responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of job postings, criteria, communications, interviews, retention decisions, and hiring decisions.
Restaurants must comply with applicable employment, privacy, accessibility, anti-discrimination, and messaging laws. Screening criteria should be job-related and applied consistently. Shortlist does not provide legal, employment, or hiring advice.
Applicant submissions and decisions
Applicants should provide accurate information they are comfortable sharing for the specific job. Submitting an application does not guarantee contact, an interview, or employment. The restaurant—not Shortlist—reviews applications and makes hiring decisions.
Shortlist may show transparent matching against answers or criteria configured by the restaurant. Such matching is assistive only; it does not make or recommend an employment decision. Any enabled phone-screen summary is for human review.
SMS consent and opt-out
Optional applicant SMS consent is separate from these terms and from the application itself. It is not required to apply. If the program is enabled, messages may include application or hiring updates; frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. A new opt-in is required to resume after an opt-out.
Manager phone verification is a separate security message. SMS is currently disabled in this build; no message is sent unless the feature is later configured and enabled. SMS opt-in information is not sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing. See the SMS program disclosure and Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use and service availability
Do not misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, submit unlawful content, interfere with another organization’s data, or use Shortlist to make decisions by automated means that the product does not support. We may restrict access to protect the service, users, or applicants.
We provide Shortlist on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, message delivery, applicant responses, hiring outcomes, or that an integration will be available.
Information and contact
Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. For questions about these Terms or Shortlist, use the Contact Us form. Confirm with counsel whether applicable requirements call for additional public contact details.
Changes and legal review
We may update these terms as the service changes, subject to applicable law. The date above identifies this version. This document is a product draft; no attorney review is claimed.
